How do I go about setting up an account with Fong Kai and how long does it take?

Companies looking to do business with Fong Kai must submit a completed dealer application to our accounting department. You can download the application form here. Processing time is 48-72 hr. on average. Once approved, your account executive will advise you of your terms and credit amount. On NET accounts, FKI reserves the right to hold any additional orders if your outstanding invoices are more than 15 days past their due date, unless other arrangements have been made with our accounting department.

Do you accept credit cards for purchase?
FKI does not accept credit cards for any purchases. All accounts are established as either C.O.D. Company Check or NET terms.

I am an OEM and am interested in a custom chassis/bezel for my systems. Can Fong Kai accommodate me?
Yes, FKI’s specialty is OEM chassis. Whether you need a complete chassis design or a custom bezel/silk screening, we can work with you to accomplish this. What differentiates your chassis from others on the market?
FKI commitment to quality demands only the highest quality raw materials available. We begin with SECC galvanized sheet iron. While others still use SPCC sheet iron sheets, we prefer the non-corrosive quality of SECC sheet metal.   Each and every power supply is a "true" standard or UL power supply and is thoroughly tested. If the label states 250W UL, it is a true 250W UL-listed power supply. FKI has also made the required switch to FCC approved power supplies in all our chassis.

Is there a minimum order requirement in order to go direct with Fong Kai?
Yes. Minimum order on chassis is 50 per invoice and 100 per month. Orders can be mixed/matched.

I’m a small VAR/integrator, and don’t order that many chassis/motherboards at a time. How can I still get your products?

What method do you ship?
Our preferred method for shipping from the US warehouses is UPS. For larger orders, we will use commercial trucking. If you have a preferred trucking line, please advise your account executive at the time you place your order. For larger OEM customers, shipping will be done FOB Taiwan or FOB China.

How late can I order?
FKI has an early pick-up from UPS, so we request that all orders be placed prior to 2pm CST in order to allow our shipping department time to process. For orders going via truck, please have your order in by 12 noon CST to allow time to contact the various truck lines. If your order requires upgrading, please allow a minimum of 48-72 hrs. prior to shipping from our warehouse.

Where are you located?
FKI headquarters is in Taipei, Taiwan. Manufacturing is done in both Taipei, and our new facility (100,000 sq. ft) in Guan Dong, China. Sales offices are located in Dallas, Texas, and Rotterdam, Netherlands. For phone/fax numbers, please refer to our location page.

How big is Fong Kai?
We started in 1985 with three people and six pieces of equipment. Today FKI is a $70 million a year company, with nine facilities around the world. We have more than doubled our production capability from 150k per month in 1996, to over 350k per month in 1997. When stage two of our China facility is completed, we will have a combined capacity of over 500k chassis per month.

What warranty do you have on your products?
All FKI power supplies and video conferencing equipment carries a ONE-year warranty. All products are covered for failures due to faulty materials or workmanship. FKI claims no responsibility for failures or damages due to improper handling or damage incurred during shipping. FKI will repair and/or replace the defective product at our discretion.

I received a chassis damaged in shipping, how can I get it replaced?
If you received items damaged in shipping, you need to contact the shipping company and file a claim. If shipped via UPS, contact your local UPS account rep. They will have a local driver arrive in a few days with a yellow "call tag." The merchandise will be shipped back to FKI free of charge for replacement. If another freight company does damage, check with their driver for that company’s policies. In most cases, a note will be annotated on your Bill of Lading (BOL).

How can I submit a product for RMA and how long does it take to get it replaced?
FKI has an online RMA/CMA form via this website. Complete the online form and fax to us. Regarding RMA’s, once the damaged product is received, Fong Kai will send your replacement within 48 hours. If you are requesting a CMA, Fong Kai will apply the credit to your account once the product is received. We post credits once a week.

How do I get tech support on a product?
Tech support is available from 8:30am-5:30pm CST Monday through Fri. Before calling tech support, please refer to that section on this web site to see if your problem and a solution have already been posted.
